Why I Love Justin Timberlake’s Justified

Initially the framework for Justified was birthed out of a desire for The Neptunes to produce for Michael Jackson and take him back to an updated Off The Wall sound so it makes sense why their tracks sound like classic pop with infectious bridges and live drums paired with funky synths and guitars.

This is such a great album and I'd recommend it to anyone who's a fan of Pharrell & Chad, Timbaland, R&B, NSYNC and of course Justin Timberlake.

Why I Love Kingsman: The Secret Service

After the release of the sequel I went back to see the original.
This was a movie adaptation from the comic series by Mark Miller & Dave Gibbons.

From references to spy leads like Jason Bourne and James Bond this film truly felt like a fresh movie.

In the era of remaking nostalgic classics like Transformers and Power Rangers this My Fair Lady story wasn't completely faithful to the source material but changed to improve the director's feelings about discovering a new take on a classic story.

Why I Love Girl Meets Ski Lodge

I love that their take wasn't classic Boy Meets World.

Even though I thought they wanted Lucas and Riley to be the next Cory and Topanga they took the Frozen angle and highlighted that Riley's greatest relationship was her friendship with Maya. This was seen in the ending conversation of this episode but also in Girl Meets Sixteen where Riles is unsure of what will happen with her and Lucas but they both are definite in how their relationship with be even stronger.

DCOM – Tru Confessions

In the late 1990s, early 2000s every month Disney would release a Disney Channel Original Movie.

These movies have become fondly remembered by kids now adults who are apart of a generation now looking back to the past.

The 90’s babies are now becoming nostalgic as most have graduated high school & gone in to the “real world”.

All Eyez On Me – The Film Beyond The Hype

I looked at All Eyez On Me as an opportunity to build a world.

In the era of Marvel Cinematic Universe and DCEU with superheroes intertwining through various films I thought the Tupac movie as a way to bridge the gap.

Straight Outta Compton laid the groundwork on how to tell an engaging hip hop story that matched up with Ray and Walk The Line, surpassing both as the highest grossing musical biopic of all time.

Blond(e) is Frank Ocean’s Yeezus

Paired with the limited edition Boys Don’t Cry magazine Blond has caused waves & shook up the industry.

As a visual album Endless essentially fulfilled any contractual obligations Ocean made with Def Jam.

Blond released a day after topped Billboard’s 200 while Endless is ineligible for Billboard Chart.

Is The Life Of Pablo A Classic Already?

With boasts of a music video from Oscar winning director Steve McQueen, Puff Daddy announcing he would executive produce, an unlikely pairing of the self professed 'black Beatle' & Sir Paul McCartney the anticipation of Kanye West's new project was at an all time high.
Untimely Twitter rants, G.O.O.D. Friday delays, renewed controversy with Taylor Swift & Wiz Khalifa caused fans to become bitter towards Kanye's antics. Many fans believed that the album would need to meet musical miracle to excuse his many antics.
